eJournal Question #4

3 Feb

My friends and I would always struggle to contact each other if plans were made. For having a group of 8 to make sure everyone gets a message is hard, until we figured out an app that all of us could use to talk to each other in. It made it easier to make sure everyone was included in the plans we made, and still helps to this day to make sure no one is left out.

My relationship with time is a bad and good relationship. Sometimes I want time to speed up and sometimes it just goes too damn fast. But the times when it goes really slow I can say that my mobile device has saved me from time going even slower. Whenever I or someone else is bored and time seems like it takes about 5 hours to reach 1 hour, we go right to our phone to give us entertainment and pass the time. It has saved us in a way, from going crazy.

eJournal Question #2

I was like most kids where if I saw something, I wanted it no matter how stupid it was. As I grew up I realized that not everything I use that I bought, so I made sure I used the thing I bought. Now I buy things that I will make sure I use. The things I own now are the things I use the most, unfortunately it is technology and technology these days cost a lot more then other things today. Often I ask the question, would I really miss my computer or some other device that I use a lot? I could really say that I would only miss my phone because it connects me to other people like nothing else can.

The first thing I thought of reading this question was when I first created a Facebook for myself. I put my name, picture and some information online, which seemed weird at the time, but it sort of makes you feel like your part of a large community. It gives you access to share your life in a way that you wouldn’t be able to do if you didn’t have Facebook. I think digital technology has made me self conscience about what I put online. For my default picture I have me in a suit, because I didn’t want to put a bad picture of me online, I wanted to show a classy side to myself.
